Undoubtedly there\u2019s new&#8230;and serious&#8230;money (Bill Gates) behind the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We haven\u2019t given much thought to what has always seemed like a religious cult&#8230;but here\u2019s an Australian who confirms what I only suspected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vegetarianism goes way back in history but really only flourished near the end of the 19th century when it attracted the attention of the 7th Day Adventists&#8230;and yes (following the money) Big Businessmen in Battle Creek, Michigan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their business was cereal&#8230;does the name Kellogg ring a bell? \u00a0In fact there were about 100 cereal manufacturers in the new industry&#8230;all centered in Battle Creek&#8230;and all now Adventists and vegetarians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That group of people and their hired nutritionists sold America a bill of goods on the proper diet. \u00a0Remember the food pyramid? \u00a0The \u201cscientific wisdom\u201d was grains are good&#8230;meat is bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can read some of the history here &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmonline.com.au\/story\/7252439\/red-meat-under-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Red meat under attack<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>David<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;seems to have gathered some steam in recent years.
