More than that  he was offering me my pick to breed&#8230;flush the embryos&#8230;and ship back  to the States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It took \nat least an hour to walk through the herd but it wasn\u2019t a difficult \nchoice.&nbsp; I spotted my candidate almost immediately and said \u201chow about \nthat one\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWell you did choose the best,\u201d Ivan grumped.\u00a0 And from that point on he\u2019s always  called me \u201cmate\u201d&#8230;the highest honor I\u2019ve ever received.\u00a0 Ivan is a  lifelong judge of cattle, respected by the leading breeds.\u00a0 For any breeder, especially an American, to be Ivan Rowe\u2019s mate is better than any college degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cow was Goldings Norah and we transported her to UK Sires near  Penzance.\u00a0 (Yes Gilbert and Sullivan fans, that Penzance!).
