{"id":4444,"date":"2015-08-20T07:11:17","date_gmt":"2015-08-20T11:11:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/?p=4444"},"modified":"2015-08-20T07:11:17","modified_gmt":"2015-08-20T11:11:17","slug":"getting-to-know-you-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/getting-to-know-you-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting to know you&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;.we&#8217;ve mentioned before that<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150820_2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-4445\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150820_2-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"20150820_2\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>\u00a0nothing is more fun than starting another new farm in Devon.\u00a0 And we&#8217;ve just delivered two cow-calf pairs to Bill and Cindy Ketner at Summit Point, West Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>Bill and his family have returned to his father&#8217;s home and he has one more year of commuting to his position at NIH before he can retire fulltime to the farm (his heart is clearly already there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150820_5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-4446\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150820_5-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"20150820_5\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We think the Ketners made the right decision beginning with two experienced mama cows.\u00a0 As someone once said, God gave the cow all the information she needs to be a successful cow!\u00a0 And now they can teach the Ketners.\u00a0 Plenty of time to grow their herd after the first lessons.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And yes, Wooz does like to come along on first deliveries to be sure her girls (and boys) are settled in properly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;.we&#8217;ve mentioned before that\u00a0nothing is more fun than starting another new farm in Devon.\u00a0 And we&#8217;ve just delivered two cow-calf pairs to Bill and Cindy Ketner at Summit Point, West Virginia.
