{"id":3841,"date":"2014-09-28T19:40:43","date_gmt":"2014-09-28T23:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/?p=3841"},"modified":"2014-09-28T19:44:04","modified_gmt":"2014-09-28T23:44:04","slug":"new-devon-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/new-devon-leadership\/","title":{"rendered":"The new Devon leadership&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;.there was quite a turnover in the leadership of Red Devon USA this weekend.\u00a0 The new officers all come from the smaller of the two associations that recently merged to form the new blanket organization.<\/p>\n<p>Elected president is Roy Doan of Tennessee, Vice President is Jacob Owen of Kentucky, and Treasurer is Paul Calucci of New York.\u00a0 Guille Yearwood was added to the board.<\/p>\n<p>When the merger was first suggested, there was considerable opposition within the American Devon Cattle Association because of fear it would be gobbled up by the larger North American Devon Association (NADA). As a gratifying sign that the six-year long rift between the two groups has been healed, the NADA members clearly were ready to bury the hatchet and cast their votes to elect leaders from among their former rivals.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations, then, are in order for both sides&#8230;.now certifiably one.
