{"id":3799,"date":"2014-09-18T08:20:46","date_gmt":"2014-09-18T12:20:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/?p=3799"},"modified":"2014-09-18T09:16:22","modified_gmt":"2014-09-18T13:16:22","slug":"thistle-hill-goes-global-part-two","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.thistlehill.net\/wpblog\/thistle-hill-goes-global-part-two\/","title":{"rendered":"Thistle Hill goes &#8220;global&#8221;&#8230;Part Two&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;.by coincidence, the same day of our South Africans visit, (<em>see Global Part One below<\/em>)\u00a0we received an email from all the way around the globe in New Zealand.\u00a0 We&#8217;re always surprised at the readership this blog receives in far-away places&#8230;.and gratified when we hear from afar.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, it makes me a bit ashamed that I don&#8217;t devote more time to our Blog to make it more deserving of your attention.<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s the note we received from Helena Barrio:<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">Although originally from Devon, I now live with\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\"> my family in New Zealand. We farm a small stud in the north island.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">I love Devon cattle, and I too am quite saddened and worried about the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">trend for larger, longer and taller cattle driven by the meat markets\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri;\">here, and finishers wanting a quick turn around.
