The Hume, Virginia vineyards is hosting a “welcome Springtime” party tomorrow, May 17th, from noon to 7.\u00a0 And the day of fine wine, good music and special foods is made even more special with the featured attraction:\u00a0 12 local farmers have been invited to set up tents and highlight their products.<\/p>\n

We’re honored to be one of the “lucky dozen” and it was a close call.\u00a0 We’ve been out of meat since last Fall but we arranged a quick harvest of one of our animals and Blue Ridge Butchers got us some hamburger right at deadline.\u00a0 So whether you’re an old customer…or want to make some new friends….and sample tasty and healthful grass fed meat…we invite you to come by.<\/p>\n

We’ll be having a drawing for $100 of Thistle Hill beef and pork at our tent.<\/p>\n

Philip Carter Winery is on Leeds Manor Road (Route 688) just a mile or so north of Hume.\u00a0 Look for our tent smack in the middle….with the red “Thistle Hill” sign.\u00a0 As a Springtime special, we’ve sale-priced our burger at just $4 a pound….buy five and you get the sixth free!\u00a0 With Memorial Day, graduation parties, and other grilling events coming up….this is the perfect chance to stock your freezer.<\/p>\n
