The sire is Rotokawa 243<\/em>, who Ken McDowall\u00a0describes as his “final and best bull”.\u00a0 And who are we to argue?\u00a0 The dam—Q18<\/em>—has consistently produced our top bulls and heifers.\u00a0 She was selected as one of four cows to serve as recips for our English embryos and at Thistle Hill being chosen as a recip is our top honor, particularly for those expensive English embryos.\u00a0 She didn’t let us down and you’ll see that yearling bull later in this series.<\/p>\n
