….from Chris Kresser, a popular Paleo blogger.\u00a0 Chris takes on the recent spate of articles and studies purporting to show (once again) how bad cows are for the environment.\u00a0 It’s a subject we’ve gone over so many times, I’m frankly tired of defending us.\u00a0 In brief, if you look at the “evidence”, it’s been “cooked”.\u00a0 I remember reading a big 50 years ago, required reading in J-school when they used to teach critical thinking.\u00a0 As I recall, the title was:\u00a0 “How to Lie with Statistics”.\u00a0 There’s also: “Figures Lie and Liars Figure”.<\/p>\n

But if you want to wade through the arguments again, Chris has just started a series on his blog\u00a0defending “red meat”.\u00a0 He begins by exploring the claims that cattle are responsible for most of the greenhouse gases….and use way more than their fair share of the earth’s water.<\/p>\n
