China is the largest producer of garlic in the\u00a0\u00a0world. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0Buy only local honey, most\u00a0\u00a0honey is shipped in in huge containers from China and\u00a0\u00a0re-packed here.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Watch\u00a0\u00a0out for packages which state &#8220;prepared for&#8221;, &#8220;packed by&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0or &#8220;imported by&#8221;.\u00a0The country of\u00a0\u00a0origin should be clearly shown on the item in the store.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>How is it possible to\u00a0\u00a0ship food from China cheaper than having it produced in\u00a0\u00a0the U.S. or Canada?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>MOST\u00a0FROZEN FISH PRODUCTS COME FROM CHINA, VIET NAM\u00a0OR INDONESIA.\u00a0 THE PACKAGE MAY SAY &#8220;PACIFIC SALMON&#8221; ON THE FRONT, BUT\u00a0 LOOK FOR THE SMALL PRINT. MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS COME FROM\u00a0 FISH FARMS IN THE ORIENT WHERE THERE ARE NO REGULATIONS ON\u00a0 WHAT IS FED TO THESE FISH.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u00a0Recently The Montreal\u00a0 Gazette had an article by the Canadian Government on how\u00a0 Chinese feed the fish: They suspend chicken wire crates\u00a0 over the fish ponds, and the fish feed on chicken poop.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>If you search the internet you can learn what else the Chinese\u00a0 feed their fish: growth hormones and expired antibiotics made for humans.
